Why is education important?

Education is important in many ways.  First, it is easy to get a job when you are educated.  You can find a job easily because any job needs an educated person.  There is no job that needs an uneducated person.  Even for one to be a cleaner, they have to be educated.

Secondly, it is easy to have friends.  When you are educated, you have many friends, even outside your country, because you can speak English, or any other languages when you are educated.

Thirdly, it is easy to drive safely when you are educated. You can drive safely because you can understand the highway code and the road signs.  Therefore, you can not be involved in road accidents.

Fourthly, an educated person can easily and effectively carry out a living.  When you are educated, you can do any business without any problems because you can calculate your income and expenditures and hence, be able to balance your books to see if you are gaining or losing.

In addition, it is easy to do any farm activities.  When you are educated, you can know land husbandry practice for the production of a good harvest.  You know the signs and symptoms of crop disease and how to correct such situations.

Furthermore, a person knows how to protect their body.  When they are educated, one learns everything about how to protect oneself from disease and hence they will not be attacked by diseases easily.  When you are educated, you can protect your body from things which are bad.

Not only that, but also, it helps to know more about HIV/AIDS.  When you are educated, you can know more about HIV/AIDS.  For example, you can know more about how to prevent HIV/AIDS, so you cannot be attacked by HIV/AIDS.  Also, you can know more about how to help someone who has HIV/AIDS so that you can help without any problems.  That is why education is important.

Finally, it helps to know more about pregnancy.  When you are educated, you can be protected from unwanted pregnancy. You will know all about pregnancy, so you cannot have an unwanted pregnancy. It helps to know more about pregnancies, for example, you can know how a person becomes pregnant.

You may not get lost wherever you go.  When we want to move from one place to another, we need to use transport, like buses, minibuses, airplanes, and trains.  And on that source of transport, there are some words that need to be read.  If you cannot, and if you don’t know how to read, you may ride, or you may travel, where you do not want to go.  You may take a bus going to Blantyre, when you want to go to Lilongwe.

This is how education is important.  So, I want to encourage parents to send their children to school, in order to get educated.  Because education is very important, as I wrote above.  Education is a key for success.
