Welcome to Ubwino Wa Amayi

Ubwino Wa Amayi in Chichewa means ‘ for the good of the women'

It is a charity set up in Southern Malawi primarily to pay the school fees and costs for girls and young women that will drop out of secondary school and further education for reasons beyond their control.

Education for women is essential for development and health.

Girls are dropping out of school because of lack of funds, early marriage and pregnancy

Females also suffer disproportionately from domestic violence, inequality in the work place, property grabbing and poverty.

“Progress for Women is Progress For All”

Women's empowerment and their full participation on the basis of equality in all spheres of society, including participation in the decision- making process and access to power, are fundamental for the achievement of equality, development and peace.
